Explore HubsAs part of the early development, I would like to ask my founding members if there is anything you'd like to see added or changed within GatherBump? I will take your requests into consideration, since the entire build was all my idea on my own, and I'm curious to hear your thoughts. One thing I would like to add is that I already have near-future plans that will allow musicians and podcast hubs the ability to add an audio playlist.
Quick heads-up: video posts are paused for now. 🎥 One of the companies that helps GatherBump process videos is having a problem on their end. Your videos aren't lost. If you post one, it will show as "processing" and finish on its own once they're back up. Everything else works normally: posts, photos, comments, messages, Hubs and Market. Thanks for your patience! I'll post again when videos are back. — Jake
Suspect attacked owner for trying to stop a fight he was choosing with the neighbors German shepherd... side note: German shepherd is a very sweet dog but my cat chose violence for no reason 🤪 he’s not sorry… 🙃

Working on max
I’ve been out gathering mullein leaves today! Mullein (Verbascum thapsus) has a long traditional history of supporting the respiratory system. It’s also been known to help with soothing irritated airways & sore throats, easing chest congestion, & just losening stuck stubborn mucous associated with a dry cough. Lab & animal studies have shown antibacterial activity, antioxidant activity, anti inflammatory potential, bio active compound’s & potential anti viral activity! Today, I pulled off all the outer leaves off my 2 plants and am only leaving the tight center basil rosette. I’m doing this because for the first time, I’m harvesting the roots too! When a hard freeze hits, the plant will channel its energy back into the roots, making them at their max medicinal potency. However, taking the roots does ruin any possibility of a second year plant. Mullein root is traditionally known to aid in back pain, joint pain, nerve pain. Support for the bladder & urinary tract. Spinal support & structural support. I plan to make a tincture with them. I’ll use them fresh & with at least 100 proof vodka at a 1:2 ratio of root to vodka. And it’ll need to macerate at least 6 weeks before straining & bottling. Have you ever used mullein before?

# THE MAN WHO REFUSED TO QUIT *A Story of Courage, Purpose, and Honoring Our Fallen Heroes* Life has a way of testing a man. Sometimes it tests his strength. Sometimes it tests his faith. And sometimes it places obstacles in his path that would cause many to stop, sit down, and surrender their dreams. I've faced battles most people will never see. I've battled a brain aneurysm. I still live with a brain tumor. I have no carotid artery, and my eyesight has been taken from me almost entirely. My road has not been easy. My challenges are real, and every step I take is a reminder that life is precious, and tomorrow is never promised. But I'm still here. And as long as I'm here, I still have a purpose. I could have allowed my circumstances to define me. I could have accepted that my limitations meant my life had to become smaller. I could have given up on the things that make my heart beat with purpose. **But that's not who I am.** I walk for the men and women who never made it home. I walk for the families who still carry the pain of losing someone they love. I walk so the names of our Fallen Heroes will never be forgotten. Every mile has meaning. Every name tells a story. Every step is my way of saying, *You mattered. Your sacrifice mattered. And somebody still remembers you.* My body may have limitations, but my determination has no surrender in it. My eyesight may be fading, but I can still see the importance of the mission before me. I may not know how many miles remain in my journey. I may not know what tomorrow will bring. But I know this: **I will keep walking for as long as I can.** Because this is bigger than me. Bigger than my struggles. Bigger than the obstacles standing in my way. It's about honoring those who gave everything so the rest of us could live free. And if my journey teaches anyone anything, I hope it teaches them this: Don't let your hardships write the ending of your story. Don't let your limitations convince you that your life no longer has meaning. And never believe that one person, no matter what they face, cannot make a difference. You don't have to be perfect. You don't have to be fearless. You just have to find something worth standing for—and keep going when the road gets hard. **Because courage isn't measured by what stands in your way. It's measured by your willingness to keep moving forward.** And when my miles are finally walked, when my journey on this earth comes to an end, and someone looks back on the life I lived, I hope they remember the Heroes I honored, the lives I touched, and the message I tried to leave behind. I hope they remember a man who faced adversity and kept moving. A man who carried his struggles but refused to let them carry him away from his purpose. And when my story is finally told, let these words stand as a testament to the life I lived: **"When I die and my story is told, it will never say, 'He gave up.'"** It will say he kept walking. It will say he kept fighting. It will say he kept honoring the Fallen. **And until his final breath, he never surrendered.**
GatherBump apps have been submitted to both Google Play Store and Apple Store for review. Hopefully it won't be much longer until they are available 🤞 Just playing the waiting game now!
Ready for Trick or Treaters
🇺🇸 **HONORING MARINE PFC KEVIN LEE FERGUSON — GONE AT 18, NEVER FORGOTTEN** 🇺🇸 Today, October 16, 2026, we walked in honor and remembrance of **Marine PFC Kevin Lee Ferguson**, a young American hero from Bridgeton, New Jersey, who gave his life serving our country during the Vietnam War. Kevin was born on December 6, 1948. At just 18 years old, his life was cut short when he was killed in action on October 16, 1967. He served with Company L, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, Third Marine Amphibious Force. Eighteen years old. Think about that for a moment. He was just beginning his life, with so much ahead of him. Yet he answered the call to serve, and he made the ultimate sacrifice. His courage, his service, and his sacrifice deserve to be remembered for generations to come. Kevin's name is forever engraved on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C., at Panel 28E, Line 14. He is also laid to rest at Lawnside Cemetery in Woodstown, New Jersey. His service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸 **TODAY'S WALK — 5.20 MILES, 189 HONKS!** We covered 5.20 miles today in Kevin's honor, and what an amazing walk it was! We walked past the fire and police station, then had the opportunity to stop and talk with a good friend for a little while before making our way to Veterans Memorial Park. While at the park, we took time to read the names on the memorial wall, remembering the men and women who gave so much for our freedom. During our visit, we also found a small rock painted with an American flag. We decided to bring it with us and place it in our Memorial Area in honor of Kevin. It may be a small rock, but it will serve as another reminder that a young Marine from Bridgeton, New Jersey, is still being honored and remembered today. Throughout our walk, we received **189 honks** from people passing by! Every honk, wave, and salute means something special. Each one helps us spread awareness, share a hero's name, and remind others that the men and women who sacrificed everything for our country must never be forgotten. To everyone who honked, waved, or saluted today, **THANK YOU!** You helped make this walk special, and you helped us honor Kevin Lee Ferguson. We appreciate every one of you who took a moment out of your day to show your support. I also want to give a special thank-you to **Fallen Marine LCPL Matthew C. Kenna** for helping us honor Kevin today. It means a great deal to have another Marine helping keep the memory of a fellow Marine alive. Kevin may have been taken from this world at only 18 years of age, but his name and sacrifice continue to live on through the people who remember him and the steps we take in his honor. That is why we walk. That is why we remember. And that is why we will continue to share their stories. Today, we walked 5.20 miles for Kevin. We heard 189 honks. We remembered the names on a memorial wall. And we brought a little American flag rock back to our Memorial Area to keep his memory alive. **Marine PFC Kevin Lee Ferguson, you are remembered. You are honored. And you will never be forgotten.** 🇺🇸 **LET US NEVER FORGET.** 🇺🇸 #iWalk4Them #FallenHeroes #MarineCorps #KevinLeeFerguson #VietnamWar #HonorRespectRemember #LetUsNeverForget
