GatherBump Community Guidelines

Effective: October 9, 2026

GatherBump is a place for adults to gather around the people, places, and causes they care about. These guidelines apply to everything on GatherBump: posts, comments, photos, videos, profiles, Hubs, Groups, Market listings, and messages. They are part of our Terms of Service.

GatherBump has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We use automated checks and human review, and we act on reports. Breaking these guidelines can lead to content removal, warnings, limits on features, suspension, or permanent removal from GatherBump.

Child safety: zero tolerance

GatherBump is only for adults 18 and older. Any content or behavior that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers children is strictly prohibited. That includes child sexual abuse material, sexualized images or comments about minors, grooming, and attempts to contact minors for sexual purposes. We remove it immediately, permanently ban the accounts involved, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and law enforcement as the law requires. Nudity and sexual content

GatherBump allows ordinary adult life, but it is not a place for nudity or pornography.

Allowed: swimwear, shirtless men, breastfeeding, lingerie that is not pornographic, and medical images such as surgery scars.

Not allowed:

• Nudity, including visible genitals or anus, fully nude photos, and topless photos showing female nipples (except breastfeeding).
• Sexual activity, pornography, or sexually explicit content of any kind.
• Links to adult or pornographic websites.
• Offering or asking for sexual services.
• Sharing intimate images of anyone without their consent, or threatening to.

Images that are strongly sexualized may be held for review before anyone else can see them.

Violence and threats

• No threats of violence against anyone.
• No graphic violence, gore, or content showing serious injury or death for shock value.
• No content that supports, promotes, or glorifies terrorism, violent extremism, or organized violence.

Harassment and bullying

• No targeting, insulting, or humiliating people, and no encouraging others to do so.
• No sexual harassment or unwanted sexual comments.
• No repeatedly contacting someone who does not want to hear from you.
• No sharing someone’s private information, such as their home address, phone number, or private documents, without their permission.

Hate

No attacks, slurs, or dehumanizing content targeting people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, serious illness, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.

Suicide and self-harm

No content that encourages or promotes suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders. Talking about your own experiences and supporting others is welcome. If you or someone you know is in crisis in the United States, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.

Illegal and dangerous activity

• No selling or buying illegal drugs, weapons, or other illegal goods or services.
• No fraud, scams, or schemes to trick people out of money or information.
• No content that helps people commit crimes or cause serious harm.

Spam, scams, and payment links

• No spam, repetitive posting, or misleading links.
• No fake accounts or artificially boosting views, follows, or other engagement.
• Members may not post Cash App, Venmo, or PayPal links. Approved Hubs can accept tips through the Direct Tips feature instead.

Market (buying and selling)

Market lets members list items for sale. Sales are between members: the buyer and seller agree on the price, payment, and pickup or shipping themselves. GatherBump isn’t a party to the sale and doesn’t handle payments.

You can’t sell:

• Weapons, ammunition, or weapon parts and accessories.
• Drugs, drug paraphernalia, or prescription medicine.
• Alcohol, tobacco, or vapes and vaping products.
• Animals.
• Adult products or services.
• Counterfeit, stolen, or recalled items.
• Gift cards, cash equivalents, or financial products.
• Personal data, accounts, or login details.
• Anything else that is illegal to sell where you or the buyer are.

Listings must be honest:

• List real items that you have and are able to sell, with photos of the actual item.
• Describe the item and its condition accurately, and don’t use fake or misleading prices.
• Don’t post the same item over and over.
• Don’t ask buyers to pay with gift cards, and don’t post Cash App, Venmo, or PayPal links in listings. Agree on payment in messages.
• Mark items as sold when they sell. Listings that aren’t confirmed as still available may be hidden.

When you buy or sell, meet in a busy public place, check the item before you pay, and never send money to someone you haven’t met. Watch out for overpayment and refund scams.

Honesty and identity

• Do not pretend to be another person, brand, or organization.
• Do not create accounts to get around a suspension or ban.

Respect other people’s work

Only post content you created or have permission to share. Music from GatherBump’s library is for use in GatherBump videos only. See our Terms of Service for how to send a copyright complaint.

Hubs and Groups

Hub and Group owners and managers are responsible for keeping their spaces within these guidelines. They can set extra rules for their own spaces, but those rules cannot allow anything these guidelines prohibit.

Reporting and blocking

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report the post using its menu, or use Report on a Market listing. You can also block any member to stop them from interacting with you. For anything else, including concerns about a profile, message, Hub, or Group, email contact@gatherbump.com. We aim to review reports within 24 hours. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

How we enforce these guidelines

Photos and video frames are checked automatically before they are posted, and links are checked for adult and payment sites. We review reports and content held for review. Depending on how serious a violation is and whether it has happened before, we may remove the content, give a warning, limit features, suspend the account, or permanently remove it. Serious violations, such as anything involving the exploitation of children, lead to permanent removal right away. Where available, you can ask for a review of a moderation decision.
