GatherBump Child Safety Standards
Effective: October 9, 2026
GatherBump, operated by GatherBump LLC, has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to GatherBump.com and the GatherBump apps.
What is prohibited
- Child sexual abuse material of any kind, including drawn, edited, or AI-generated images.
- Sexualizing minors in images, videos, comments, profiles, or messages.
- Grooming, or contacting or attempting to contact a minor for sexual purposes.
- Sextortion, child trafficking, and any content that promotes or facilitates the exploitation of children.
- Sharing, requesting, or linking to any of the above.
How we prevent it
- GatherBump is only for adults 18 and older. Members confirm their age when they join, and we close accounts that belong to minors.
- Photos and video frames are checked automatically before they are posted, and anything identified as sexual content involving a minor is blocked.
- Links are checked for adult and other prohibited sites.
- Members can report posts in the app, block other members, and contact us directly.
- We review reports and content held for review, and we aim to review reports within 24 hours.
How to report a concern
- In the app or on the website: use a post’s menu to report it.
- By email: contact@gatherbump.com, with “Child safety report” in the subject. Include links or usernames if you can, but do not send us images of abuse.
- To NCMEC: you can also report directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
- If a child is in immediate danger: call 911 or your local emergency number.
What we do when we find it
- Remove the content and permanently ban the accounts involved.
- Report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as United States law requires, and preserve the related records as the law requires.
- Cooperate with law enforcement investigations.
Following the law
GatherBump complies with applicable child safety laws, including United States laws on reporting child sexual abuse material.
