GatherBump Data Deletion

GatherBump respects your privacy and gives users a way to request deletion of their account and associated personal data.

Delete your account in Settings

Sign in, open Settings, choose Edit, and select Delete account at the bottom. Enter your account email and password and confirm the warning. This permanently deletes your personal account and every Hub and Group you own, including their content. Groups you only joined or help manage remain with their owners. Uploaded files may take longer to finish removing.

If required payment or safety records prevent automatic deletion, nothing is deleted and you will be asked to contact support using the steps below. The founder account is protected from self-deletion.

How to request deletion through support

To request deletion of your GatherBump account and associated personal data, send an email to:

Please use the subject line:

GatherBump Data Deletion Request

If possible, send the request from the email address associated with your GatherBump or Facebook account so we can verify the request.

What will be deleted

After your request is verified, GatherBump will delete personal account information and associated user data that is no longer required for legitimate legal, security, or operational purposes.

Certain information may be retained when required by law or when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, or security problems.

Payments and account deletion

Deleting your account does not, by itself, refund completed Tips you sent or Priority placement that has already begun. Payment records may be retained as needed to handle payouts, disputes, and legal obligations. If you have a payment problem, contact contact@gatherbump.com.

Removing Facebook access

You may also remove GatherBump's access to your Facebook account through your Facebook settings. Removing Facebook access does not automatically guarantee deletion of all data already stored by GatherBump, so please send a deletion request if you want your GatherBump data removed.
