Here's a little surprise: moss doesn't have true roots like most plants. Instead, it has tiny threadlike structures called rhizoids. These help moss hold onto rocks, soil, and tree bark. Moss absorbs water and nutrients directly through its surface. That means a moss-covered rock can become a little green garden without needing any soil at all! Sometimes we walk right past the most amazing things without even noticing them. The next time you see a patch of moss, stop for a moment. Look closely at its tiny leaves, delicate textures, and beautiful shades of green. What looks like a simple patch of greenery is actually a remarkable little survivor. Nature's smallest wonders often have the biggest stories to tell. Until our next discovery, keep looking, keep wondering, and never stop exploring!
